Watching paint dry is what I have been doing for the past forty odd years. This is the sort of thing I watch drying all day.
It is an oil painting of Favell, the last commercial sailing ship to be built in Bristol. She was launched in 1895 from the slipway of Charles Hill and Sons Ltd.
Thanks to many strange twists and turns of fate, I have been painting professionally for nearly forty years and, when I read the biographies of other artists, I find that my life in art is somewhat unusual, so as well as hosting a current website, I shall use this blog to recall some of the more unusual experiences in my career.
